How much does paragliding in Almaty cost?
Local flights start around 22,000–30,000 tenge for 10–15 minutes. Ours is $170 for 15–25 minutes with a private hotel transfer, a senior pilot and full video. Both are real options; the difference is airtime and scheduling.

The Almaty tandem market has a wide price spread and you should see it clearly before you choose.
At the bottom, local operators advertise roughly 22,000 tenge for up to 15 minutes and around 60,000–98,000 tenge for extended flights of 20–60 minutes, typically from the Ushkonyr plateau or Oi-Qaragai. These are real flights with certified local pilots and we are not going to imply otherwise.
Ours is $170 per passenger for 15–25 minutes airborne. The difference buys four specific things: a private transfer from your hotel at the hour the air is best rather than a shared vehicle at a fixed hour; a senior pilot rather than whoever is next on the rota; full-flight video and stills included rather than sold at launch; and an unhurried slot with nobody waiting behind you.
If your goal is to leave the ground once, cheaply, book locally — it is a legitimate choice. If you have already done a short tourist hop somewhere and felt short-changed, or you are booking from abroad and want a written contract with an entity you can hold responsible, that is what the price difference is.
